Annual Shoe Box Appeal 2024

We have just launched this year’s Shoebox appeal. Covered boxes are available at the back of the church to take away and fill, or you can donate items from the list in the leaflet as we make up boxes with these items, or your prayers would be most welcomed.

Items can be brought to St Josephs Ilminster after Wed or Sat Mass or in Chard after any Mass or into the Office during office Hours. n Crewkerne you can drop your items into the Town Hall.

2023. We would like to thank everyone who so generously donated  boxes, money, and items towards the appeal.

A total of 6,480 boxes from the Southwest arrived in Ukraine on the 30th of November last year. Hopefully, they provided some pleasure and practical help for the adults and children who received them and let them know they are not forgotten. Thank you so much. Sue Moore

This donation came from the Crewkerne monies.  With Father Basil £10,000 was ring fenced for charitable donations.  So far the Parish presented £5000 to Clifton Diocese on the anniversary of English Martyrs Chard: £500 to the Little Sisters of the Poor for their lift fund and £2500 To Our Lady of the Rosary, Bristol.  This leaves £2000 in our charitable donation funds. The Finance Committee welcomes any suggestions for small charities within the Parish who would benefit from a donation.  Please contact Maggie in the office or email treasurer.englishmartyrschard@cliftondiocese.com with recommendations.
